Wounded Warrior Project

The mission of Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is to honor and empower wounded warriors. We do this by providing human and financial resources support for our nation's (USA) most deserving men and women, as well as tangible support through advocacy, education and recreational opportunities that enhance their quality of life. Our work is made possible through public contributions and the formation of strategic alliances with results-driven nonprofits and businesses.

Warriors to Work

A critical transition for today's wounded warrior is the one he or she makes from military to civilian life. Warriors to Work, a signature WWP program, was designed to help meet the growing demand of helping today's wounded warrior find a suitable career path. The nationwide program connects wounded warriors with the support and resources they need to build a career in the civilian workforce. Warriors to Work is a free service for servicemen and women injured in the line of duty. The program is also offered at no charge to perspective employers looking to hire qualified employers.

Warriors to Work programs include resume building, interviewing skills, training programs, and job placement. Warriors can also connect with volunteer counselors and career mentors to help guide them in their career search.

Today's Wounded Warrior

The physical and mental afflictions facing today's wounded warriors vary greatly. WWP, and the organization's Warriors to Work program in particular, supports wounded warriors suffering from PTSD, TBI, amputations, spinal cord injuries and other challenges. No matter what their injury, WWP is committed to helping them build a better life.

Wounded Warrior Attributes

Military service men and women are known for their intentions, attitudes, commitments, strong mindset, values, discipline and leadership skills. These character traits are often complemented by high technology backgrounds and extensive security clearances that can be both costly and difficult to obtain. It is this combination of characteristics and expertise that make these wounded warriors coveted by the security industry.
